Jessica Vásquez is FLA’s Regional Manager for Latin America. She is actively involved in overseeing Fair Labor Investigations in the Americas and leading FLA’s projects and programs in Latin America.

A Salvadoran lawyer with more than fifteen years of experience in labor and human rights, Vásquez served as FLA’s CSO Engagement Manager for Latin America from 2015-2020. Her prior work with FLA included serving as the senior assessor on the project, Access to Justice for Vulnerable Populations, in the Guatemalan office of the International Commission of Jurists. She also worked as the director of the International Litigation Unit at a local civil society organization in El Salvador that monitors labor conditions in Central America and the Caribbean.

Vásquez’s areas of competence include factory assessments, labor complaint investigations, the inter-American human rights system, Central American labor law, and the implementation of social compliance programs. She has extensive experience working with stakeholders in the Americas, including trade unions, high-ranking government officials, women’s rights organizations, and non-governmental organizations, as well as engaging, mediating, and consulting with them. She is currently based in Guatemala and speaks English and Spanish.
