Gülden Ülker is FLA’s Senior Manager for Social Compliance, overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Since joining FLA in 2021, Ülker has brought years of hands-on experience working directly with workers in factories and farms, conducting assessments, and managing workplace-level worker rights initiatives. Her contributions have been instrumental in enhancing the FLA’s social compliance monitoring tools and programs. After managing the factory assessment program for two years, she expanded her expertise to guide member companies in strengthening their human rights due diligence processes.
Currently, Ülker leads and provides strategic support to member companies in achieving and maintaining Fair Labor Accreditation, advises on the development of the organization’s social compliance programs, and manages EU-focused human and workers’ rights initiatives. With over a decade of experience in advancing workers’ rights and developing human rights due diligence processes, she places a strong emphasis on fostering social dialogue, amplifying worker voices, and promoting gender equity across all aspects of her work.
Gülden holds a degree in labor economics and industrial relations from Istanbul University. She is fluent in Turkish and English, with basic knowledge of German, and is based in Berlin, Germany.
