
Başak Tuğsavul
Project Manager
Başak Tuğsavul is a project manager at FLA. She leverages her extensive expertise in labor rights and gender equality to manage impactful projects that promote rights-based approaches. Tuğsavul excels in coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Before joining FLA in 2022, Tuğsavul served as the research and policy development director at the Mother Child Education Foundation from 2019 to 2022. During this time, she played a pivotal role in advancing research initiatives and formulating policy recommendations. She is also a founding member of the SİLVA Gender Studies Association, reflecting her long-standing commitment to gender equality and social justice.
Since the early 2000s, Tuğsavul has been actively engaged in research, education, and advocacy activities, preparing numerous publications on youth rights and policies, labor policies, and gender topics. She has also mentored at various institutions in the civil society sector, delivering extensive training and capacity-building programs to empower communities and organizations.
Tuğsavul holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in human rights law and global labor policies. She is based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
