TIMTAS

TIMTAS is a family corporation that has operated in Turkey since the 1940s. They continue to process some spices and some other food product, though for some years their primary business has been the production of fig paste as suppliers to North America and Europe. They produce both conventional and organic fig paste.

TIMTAS has been committed to providing high quality products that are sourced in the most sustainable and ethical manner for many decades. They maintain numerous quality and related certifications, including a Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA). Having participated in an FLA preliminary review over the last year, TIMTAS is excited to join the FLA and looks forward to working together to fully implement FLA’s policies.

TIMTAS has always been committed to producing the highest quality products, produced in a sustainable and responsible manner. To that end, we have continually worked to improve all the systems and conditions for figs from the harvest in the fields to the production, with our secondary suppliers, and in our facility.

We are very excited to join the FLA at this time and look forward to continued improvements in all conditions for those handling our products – from the workers in the field to all of our direct employees.
