Compliance Benchmarks

The FLA has issued Compliance Benchmarks pertaining to each element of the FLA's Code of Conduct.  The code elements are as follows:
  • Forced Labor
  • Child Labor
  • Harassment or Abuse
  • Non-Discrimination
  • Health and Safety
  • Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
  • Hours of Work
  • Wages, Benefits and Overtime Compensation

Monitoring Guidance  

The FLA has developed a guidance document for FLA-accredited monitors so that they are best able to conduct their audits to the FLA Code of Conduct.  This document covers the following aspects of monitoring for an FLA audit:

  • Gathering Information from Knowledgeable Local Sources
  • Worker Interviews
  • Management Interviews
  • Capacity Review
  • Records Review
  • Visual Inspection
  • Analysis and Reporting
