Monitoring

The FLA accredits monitors to conduct independent external monitoring of facilities used by companies participating in the FLA. The FLA monitoring methodology requires monitors to demonstrate independence, impartiality and a high degree of rigor and thoroughness in assessing compliance with the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct.

FLA Accredited Monitors

Independent External Monitors are accredited for a period of two years from the date of approval. Accreditation is renewable for successive two-year periods after a review of compliance with the standards of independence and qualifications for Independent External Monitors outlined in the FLA Charter. FLA Accreditation Procedures

Prospective monitors may apply for accreditation for one or more countries, and for all or some provisions of the FLA Code of Conduct. Monitors are accredited based upon their satisfaction of the accreditation criteria outlined in the FLA Charter. FLA-accreditation lasts for two years and is renewable. View More...

Monitoring  Guidance and Compliance Benchmarks

The purpose of the Monitoring Guidance Document is to provide information to participating companies and independent external monitors that will enable them to monitor applicable facilities in accordance with the Workplace Code of Conduct and the Monitoring Principles adopted by the Fair Labor Association. The Principles of Monitoring, a part of the Charter of the Fair Labor Association, provide the framework within which monitoring is to be conducted.
